Donald Trump is no stranger to publicity. Now he's in the spotlight again with his purchase of multi-level marketing company Ideal Health. In the fall of 2009 he is going to re-launch the company as the Trump Network. Complaints about this new venture exist, but they mainly have to do with Donald Trump himself, and not with the company's products.[viddler:a2bfc3f8;[link:Trump Network Complaints];http://]One of the funniest Trump Network complaints is about Donald Trump being two faced. Donald Trump was on The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson, and he had great fun mocking MLM giant Amway, and those hard working individuals within the company.A couple of years ago, apparently Oprah Winfrey asked Donald Trump what his plans would be if he hit the bankruptcy jackpot again. He said he'd start up an MLM. The audience went crazy booing him. In typical humanitarian form, he said "That's why I'm up here and you're down there." Since he actually bought Ideal Health, I suppose his real estate holdings are still worth a little money. I expect more Trump Network complaints about "The Donald" in the future. The company is working hard to make sure it has enough of their products ready to go when the big launch comes. They don't want there to be Trump Network complaints about slow delivery or backorders. I don't think there will be a problem with quality, these are very good products. But I will be interested to see how these issues are handled by the company. Delivery problems would be a public embarrassment to the Trump Network.Trump Network complaints will come from two distinct populations, since the company is also an MLM. Complaints will come from either unhappy customers of the physical products, or unhappy members. If the company has good policies in place before the launch they should be able to keep true malcontents to a minimum. In regard to the Trump Network complaint department, my big gripe is not specific to the Trump Network, it is aimed at all multi-level companies. The complaint is that these companies don't do a great job of teaching their members how to be effective marketers. To have great success with MLM, you need to have a solid marketing education under you. The companies teach you what you need to sell their products, and not anything more. In reality, you need a broad understanding, and you will find out there are thousands of ways to promote yourself online. Thanks to the internet, advances in marketing can literally happen over night, and these big companies just can't adjust fast enough to change their training materials. Take an online marketing course, and get yourself up to speed with marketing in 2009.Ellie Gant is the editor for Online MLM Secrets, a treasure trove of actionable info and resources for everybody who is building an MLM Business.
